(insert cheesy mastercard/visa pickup line here)

in about 9 hours i will be boarding the plane from charlotte to boston to begin my journey abroad!!

boy what a crazy week this has been! we have had so much family in town for the twins graduation, and everyone left this morning. so for the past 24 hours i have been frantically throwing things together for my trip!

it has been such an amazing summer so far. i cannot even begin to describe it. i think the best part for me has honestly been being able to get so much closer with jamie. until this past year we were sisters, of course, but we were not nearly as close as we are now. its really awesome being able to honestly call my sister one of my best friends this summer.  we realized how alike we are and somehow managed to bond over that... and our ridiculous abilities to pick out EVERYTHING exactly the same at target. literally. from matching shoes and purses to matching dresses and shorts we are bound to pick up the same things even if we are not shopping together. its entertaining.

anyways, back to the journey. i don't know when i will be able to update this next. depending on where my gramma, mom, and i stay during our travels, i may have internet and therefore be able to post. if not, then the next post might very well be from aboard the mv explorer!! and will also be done via email, so we will see how that goes!

now i am off to pack up the absolute rest of my junk and catch a quick shower. have to wake up at 6:15am and there is NO WAY im waking up earlier than that to take a shower... hahaha ugh. have i mentioned yet that i very much dislike getting up before the sun?? guess that will have to change during this trip. :]
