day one of my travels is done! laying on the bed of the hotel we stopped at as i type this :]
woke up at 6:15 this morning and my mom gramma and i successfully flew from charlotte to boston!
when we got to boston, i also made a stop at the currency exchange center to get some euros. i had originally planned on ordering currency through bank of america, but ran out of time, sooooo back up plan was just getting stuff at the airport. unfortunately, they didnt have any of the other currencies i needed, but at least i have euros to get me started.
we got the rental car just fine. ended up with a dodge charger. its pretty nice. only has 2000 miles on it! and satellite radio! sweet.
ate lunch at a lovely restaurant in boston that was right by the water. we got to look out over the water as we ate and planned out a little more of our trip! was delicious too.
moved on from boston, got a little sidetracked in marblehead, mass.... hahaha we made sooooo many legal turns (and probably some illegal turns by accident) before getting back on track. oops! but it was so pretty that it was totally worth it!
past that we mainly just stayed on route 1 and saw some amazing scenery. found a random little ice cream shop that was delicious too!
now i am sitting in the hotel in rockland, maine while gramma and mom take a walk. about to head to the gym they have in here and check it out. early to bed for all three of us so we can get a fresh start in the morning!! next stop: bay harbor, maine!
